_. Robert Alexander Montgomerie of Southannan, died 8 February, 2020, at Verbier, Switzerland. He was 81, the scion of a Scots landed family.
He was born in 1938 a son of Colonel George Jardine Kidston-Montgomerie of Southannan [1907-93], by his wife the former Lydia Cecilia Mason [d 1991]; his sister, Philippa married as her second husband the 7th Marquess Townshend.
He married in 1964, Margaret Ann Everett, daughter of R.A. Everett, by whom he had issue.
