Elspeth Dorina Carlyon, who died 6 February, 2020, aged 94, was a scion of the Earls Temple of Stowe, born 21 January, 1926, daughter of Lieutenant-Commander the Hon Evelyn Arthur Grenville Gore-Langton, DSO, RN [1884-1972], by his wife the former Irene Maria Gartside-Spaight [1890-1967], scion of that Irish landed gentry family.
Elspeth was a granddaughter of the 4th Earl Temple of Stowe [1847-1902].
She married 20 July, 1950, Thomas Alfred Spry Carlyon [1923-99], son of Maj Alfred Spry Carlyon [1879-1955], by his wife the former Gwendoline Young-Jamieson. She leaves a son, William, and a daughter, Nicola.
The funeral takes place at St Paul's Church, Charlestown, St Austell, Cornwall, 2 March, 2020.
