_. Simon Rollo Frisby, who died 13 January, 2020, aged 86, was a descendant of the Hervey Marquesses of Bristol.
He was born 23 Oct, 1933, a son of Lieutenant-Colonel Lionel Claud Frisby [1889-1936], by his wife the former Angela Beryl Hoare [died 1990]. His mother was a daughter of Henry Hoare [1866-1956], by his wife the former Lady Geraldine Mariana Hervey [died 1955], a sister of the 4th Marquess of Bristol [1863-1951].
He married 1959, [Sara] Belinda Fox, daughter of Capt William Herbert Fox, by whom he had issue, a son Richard [born 1961], and a daughter, Angela [born 1963], wife of Charles Iain Robert Wolridge Gordon [b 1961], scion of that landed family, and a daughter Caroline [born 1963].
A Thanksgiving service takes place at St Martin's Church, Ellisfield, 3 February, 2020.
