_. James Charles Harold [Jamie] Sutherland Janson, who took his own life in September, 2019, was a scion of the Earls of Sutherland, one of the oldest peerages in the Peerage of Scotland.
He was born 6 September, 1975, a son of the Hon Martin Dearman Sutherland Janson [born 1947], by his wife the former Hon Mary Ann Balfour [born 1949], scion of the Barons Balfour of Inchyre.
He was a grandson paternally of the [24th] Countess of Sutherland, a peeress in her own right.
