_. Col. William Robert Hunter [Robin] Charley, OBE, JP, DL, late the Royal Ulster Rifles, who died at Belfast, 15 July, 2019, aged 95, was a member of that Irish landed gentry family.
He was born in 1924, son of Harold Richard Charley [1865-1956] by his wife the former Phyllis Hunter [1894-1988]; married 1960, Catherine Janet, daughter of William Sinclair Kingan, by whom he had three daughters, Catherine, Elizabeth and Jane.
The funeral is to take place at St Patrick's Church, Drumbeg, County Down, 25 July, 2019.
