_. The Lord Layton, 3rd Baron, died 4 August, 2018. He was 71.
Lord Layton was a director of the Imperial Aviation Group; dir of the Historical Aviation Group; a Director of Wellington International Ltd, from 1992; a Trustee of the Historical Aviation Foundation , &c.
Geoffrey Michael Layton was born 18 July, 1947, son of the 2nd Baron by his wife the former Dorothy Rose Cross [who died 1994]; succeeded his father, 1989.
He married firstly, 1969 [div 1971] Viviane Cracco; married secondly, 1989 [div 1999] Caroline Jane Soulis. No children.
The peerage was created in 1947 for his grandfather, Sir Walter Layton, and now passes to Lord Layton’s cousin, Jonathan Francis Layton, who was born 16 February, 1942.
