_. Roger Humphrey Boissier, CBE, who died 6 June, 2018, aged 87, was a scion of that landed gentry family.
He was born 30 June, 1930, and educated at Harrow, third son of Ernest Gabriel Boissier DSC (1886-1976), by his wife the former Doris Mary Bingham (d 1958), scion of that landed family; married 30 Oct, 1965, Elizabeth Bridget Rhoda Ley (b 1937) eldest daughter of Capt Sir Gerald Gordon Ley, 3rd Baronet (1902-80), by his first wife the former Rosemary Catherine Macpherson (1905-77), scion of Machpherson of Cluny, in the landed gentry.
Mr Boissier leaves a son, Rupert, and a dau Clare.
A Service of Thanskgiving will be held at St Oswald's Church, Kirkoswald, Cumbria, 3 Ju;y, 2018.
