_. The 12th Baron Digby, KCVO, a former Lord Lieutenant of Dorset, died on Easter Sunday, 1 April, 2018, at the age of 93.
Edward Henry Kenelm Digby was born 24 July, 1924, son of the 11th Baron Digby, KG, DSO, MC (1894-1964), by his wife the former Hon Constance Pamela Alice Bruce (d 1978), fourth daughter of the 2nd Baron Aberdare.
He succeeded his father, 29 January, 1964; married 18 Dec, 1952, Diona Marian Sherbrooke, daughter of Rear-Admiral Robert St Vincent Sherbrooke, VC, CB, DSO, by whom he had issue, two sons and a daughter.
Lord Digby served as a captain in the Coldstream Guards, and served as Lord Lieutenant for the county of Dorset, 1984-99; he was appointed KCVO in 1998.
He is succeeded in the family honours by his elder son, the Hon Henry Noel Kenelm Digby, who was born 6 January, 1954.
The funeral takes place at St Andrew's Church, Minterne Magna, Monday 16 Apr, followed by a Memorial Service at Sherborne Abbey, 1 June, 2018.
