—-. Guinness heir the Hon Garech Browne, has died aged 78.
Garech Domnagh Browne, who was born in June, 1939, son of the 4th Baron Oranmore & Browne, by his wife the heiress Oonagh Guinness, scion of the Earls of Iveagh, was the elder brother of the Hon Tara Browne, immortalised by the Beatles in their song ‘A Day in the Life’ (he ‘blew his mind out in a car’).
He married in 1981, Indian aristocrat Princess Harshad Purna Devi, daughter of the Majaraja of Morvi.
