Sir Neil Westbrook, CBE (d 2014)

_. Sir Neil Gowanloch Westbrook, CBE, racehorse breeder, owner, &c, died 13 August, 2014, aged, 97. He married 15 Feb, 1945, Mary Joan Fraser (b 29 Oct, 1922), dau of Sir William Fraser, CBE (1888-1970), by his wife the former Mary McLintock, sister of Sir William McLintock, 1st Baronet (Bt, UK, cr 1934).

Westbrook displayed a major commitment to Flat racing and breeding for more than half a century. He was a generous supporter of training and education within the industry, and was a Trustee of the Wavertree Charitable Foundation.
Chairman and Managing Director of Central Manchester Holdings Ltd from 1960 to 2005, Sir Neil owned numerous horses, including the 2002 St. Leger winner Bollin Eric, who went on to stand at The National Stud. He was based in the Isle of Man.
