Sir (Michael) Osmond Williams, MC, 2nd Baronet 1914-2012

_Maj Sir (Michael) Osmond Williams, 2nd Baronet, died 19 December, 2012, aged 98, having held the baronetcy for 85 years. He was born 22 April, 1914, son of Capt Osmond Williams, DSO (1883-1915), who died of wounds received at the Battle of Loos, by his wife the former Lady Gladys Margaret Finch-Hatton, only daughter of the 13th Earl of Winchilsea; succeeded to the baronetcy (cr Bt, UK, 1909), on the demise of his grandfather, Sir Arthur Osmond Williams, 1st Baronet, Lord Lieutenant for Merionethshire, and a Liberal MP, 28 Jan, 1927; Maj, Royal Scots Greys, MC (1944); married 12 Jul 1947, Benita Mary Booker, by whom he had issue, 2 daughters, Sarah and Julia. The baronetcy becomes extinct.
