Hon Virginia Constance Juliet Manners

Lady Manners (née McMyn), wife of the 6th Lord Manners, gave birth to a dau, the Hon Virginia Constance Juliet Manners, 21 February, 2009.

Lord Manners, 6th holder of the peerage , born 5 May 1956, married Juliet E.A. McMyn, daughter of Mr and Mrs David McMyn, of Hawkspur Green, Essex.

Alison, Lady Barrow, dies

Alison, Lady Barrow, died 7 January, 2009, aged 68. The former Alison Kate Grenfell, she married Sir Richard John Uniake Barrow, 6th Bt, but divorced in 1974. She was the daughter of Capt Russell Grenfell R.N, and a kinswoman of Reggie Grenfell husband of the great comedy actress Dame Joyce Grenfell.

Peta Marchioness of Linlithgow dies

Peta Marchioness of Linlithgow, 2nd & former wife of the 4th Matquess, died at her home, 2 February, 2009. She was the former Peta Carol Binding, dau. of Charles Victor Ormonde Binding, of Congresbury, co. Somerset, and married in 1980, Adrian John Charles Hope, Earl of Hopetoun (b 1 Jul 1946), who succeeded his father in 1987 as 4th Marquess of Linlithgow. They divorced in 1997. The Marchioness is survived by ywo children, Lord Robert Charles Robin Adrian (Bertie) Hope (b. 17 Jan 1984), and Lady Louisa Vivienne Hope (b. 16 Apr 1981). Private family cremation to be followed by a Service of Thanksgiving Tuesday 10th February 2009 St Andrews Church, Chedworth.

Albert Westray Burrell

The Lady Louise Burrell (née Campbell), scion of the Dukes of Argyll, wife of Anthony Burrell, scion of the Burrell Baronets, gave birth to a son, Albert Westray, 4 February, 2009, a brother for Teale Iona, who was b 11 Feb, 2005.

Lady Louise is the daughter of the late 12th Duke of Argyll (1937-2001), and of Iona, Duchess of Argyll.

Lady Strickland-Constable dies

Lady Strickland-Constable, who died 19 January, 2009, was the wife of Sir Frederic Strickland-Constable, 12th Baronet (cr E, 1641).

She was the former Pauline Margaret (Polly) Harding, dau of ___Harding, and married Sir Frederic in 1982. She leaves 2 children, a son, b 1985, and a dau, b 1983.
The funeral takes place at Bossall Church, near York, 31 January, 2009.

Diana Lady Kinnaird dies

Diana Lady Kinnaird, who died 2 February, 2009, aged 90, was the widow of the 13th Lord Kinnaird (b 15 Sep 1912- d 27 Feb 1997). She was the former Diana Margaret Copeman, dau of Robert Shuckburgh Copeman, of Roydon Hall, Diss, Norfolk, and married the then Graham Charles Kinnaird, as his 2nd wife, in 1940. He succeeded as 13th holder of the peerages (Scotland 1682, and UK 1860) in 1972. He died in 1997. She leaves issue, four daughters, Caroline, Anna, Susan and Mary. A son, Nicholas Charles, who was born in 1946, died in 1951. Service of Thanksgiving in the Chapel at Rossie Priory, 20 March 2009.

Sir John Hugh Dalrymple-Hay, 7th Baronet, died 20 January, 2009. He was aged 79.
He was born 16 Dec 1929, yr son of Lieutenant-Colonel Brian George Rowland Dalrymple-Hay (a descendant of the 2nd Bart); educated at Blundell's School.

Career:->sometime Capt, Royal Scots Fusiliers; succeeded to the baronetcy on the demise of his elder brother, Sir James Brian, 21 Sept, 2005.

Married 1962, Jennifer Phyllis Roberta, dau of Brig Robert Johnston, CBE, and has issue, a son & heir, Malcolm b 1966.

Sir Richard John Uniacke Barrow, 6th Baronet, died 16 Feb, 2009. He was 75.

Born 2 Aug 1933 son of Maj Sir Wilfrid Barrow, 5th Bt, he was educated at Beaumont School.
Career-- Captain, The Irish Guards; joined International Computers and Tabulators, Ltd, in 1960; succeeded his father in the baronetcy 1960, and married 1961, Alison Kate (div 1974) yr dau of Capt Russell Grenfell, RN, and a kinsman of actress Joyce Grenfell's husband, Reggie.
He leaves a son and 2 daughters. The baronetcy, created in 1835, now passes the son, Anthony John Grenfell Barrow, born 24 May, 1962.

Luke is a son of Simon Humphrey Parker Bowles (b. 1941), of Kensington, London, by his wife Carolyn, daughter of Sir (William) Ian Potter, of Del Rio, Elizabeth Bay, Sydney, Australia, & Daniela is a daughter of Mr & Mrs Mario Argiro, of Florida, United States.

Luke Parker Bowles is a nephew of Andrew Parker Bowles, first husband of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.

Ivan Reginald Ian Cameron, who was b 8 Apr, 2002, 1st son of the Rt Hon David Cameron (b. 1966), PC, MP, Leader of Her Majesty's Opposition, and a descendant of King Willian IV and Mrs Jordan, by his wife, Samantha Gwendoline Sheffield (b 1971), scion of the Sheffield Baronets, died 25 Feb, 2009, aged 6.

Annabelle S. Shortridge (née Cazenove), wife of James E.D. Shortridge, gave birth to a son, Benjamin Charles Deacon, 12 February, 2009, a brother for Sam.
James is the son of Sir Jon Deacon Shortridge, KCB (b. 1947), by his wife, the former Diana Jean Gordon, and Annabelle is a daughter of Mr Michael Cazenove (scion of the eponymous stockbroking LG family) of Swaffham Prior Hall, Cambridge, and Mrs Cazenove.

-.The Honourable Rose Maud Talbot, died at her home, Malahide, Tazmania, 15th February 2009 aged 93. She was b 1915, dau of Colonel the Hon Milo George Talbot (4th son of the 4th Baron Talbot de Malahide), and sister of Milo John Reginald, 7th Baron Talbot de Malahide, CMG (1912-73), sometime British Ambassador to Laos, on whose death the UK barony of Talbot de Malahide became extinct. She was raised to the rank of a baron's daughter in 1949. Unm. Funeral 2nd March in Tazmania.

Scion of the Wilmot-Sitwell LG family of Stainsby, she was b circa 1903, 2nd dau of Hervery Wheler Sitwell, of The Manor, Leamington Hastings, Warwicks; and married (1) Lieutenant-Colonel John Garmondsway Temple, late the Royal Artillery; & married (2) 8 Apr, 1957, Brig. Henry Charles Hamilton Eden, CBE, MC (b 12 Mar 1889; d 17 Nov 1963), scion of the Eden Baronets (later Earls of Avon (ext) and Baron Eden of Winton (Lifer) . Much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Penelope's stepson, Captain Robert John Pulleine Eden, who was b 16 February 1920, married 1947, the Hon.
