The engagement was announced 4 November, 2006, between Edward A. Wakeman, son of the late Dr. E. Maurice Wakeman, of Guildford, Connecticut, and of Leirion of Baja, Mexico, & Constance Alexandra Elise Cunliffe-Lister (b. 1979), scion of the Earls of Swinton, only daughter of (Julian) Michael Cunliffe-Lister (b. 1949), of Caldecott, Rutland, by his former wife the former Penelope Susan Pinner (Mrs Penelope Cunliffe-Lister, of Eastbourne, East Sussex).
