Commander the 5th Baron Tennyson, DSC, RN (1920-2006)

Commander the 5th Baron Tennyson, DSC, RN, died at his home in Cape Town, South Africa, 3 July, 2006. He was 86.
Mark Aubrey Tennyson was b. 28 March, 1920, a younger son of the 3rd Baron by his wife the Hon Clarissa Tennant (d. 1960), daughter of the 1st Baron Glenconner, and was educated at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.
Career:- Royal Navy 1937-60; served in the Second World War, 1939-45 on destroyers in action in the Atlantic & Meditterean (mentioned in despatches in 1945); Production Manager, Rowntree Mackintosh (South Africa) 1960-67; Export Sales Director, Joseph Terry & Sons (UK), 1968-72; Skied for the Royal Navy, 1947-51; Captain, Royal Navy Cresta Run team, 1951-54.
He married in 1964, Deline Celeste Budler, who d. 1995. He leaves no issue, and the peerage (created in 1884) devolves upon his Lorship's cousin, David Harold Alexander Tennyson, b. 4 June 1960, of of Flat 3, 165 Clarence Street, Riccarton, Christchurch, New Zealand.
