Baron Boyd of Duncansby, QC

The life peerage awarded to Mr Colin David Boyd, QC (1995), PC (2000), has been gazetted in the name, style and title of Baron BOYD of DUNCANSBY, of Duncansby in Caithness. He was appointed Lord Advocate, Scottish Executive in 2000; b. 7 June 1953, son of Dr David Hugh Aird Boyd by his wife Mrs Betty Meldrum Boyd; married 1979, Fiona Margaret MacLeod; 2 sons 1 dau. Educated at Wick High School; George Watson's College, Edinburgh; Called to the Scottish Bar 1983; Solocitor-General for Scotland, 1997-99, &c.
