Sheila Mary Wingfield, who died 6 April, 2006, aged 96, was the widow of Capt. Mervyn Robert George Wingfield, RN, DSO, DSC (1911-2005), scion of the Viscounts Powerscourt.
She was the former Sheila Mary Leschallas, a daughter of Maj. J.H. Pigé Leschallas, of Lynchmere House, Sussex, and married in 1936, Capt. Wingfield, son of Lt-Col the Rev. William Edward Wingfield, DSO (1867-1927), by his wife Elizabeth Mary, daughter of George Frederic Trench, of the Barons Ashtown
She was the mother of three, Cicely (b. 1940), Richard (b. 1942), and Peter (b. 1948).
A Service of Thanksgiving takes place at St Peter's. Lynchmere, 27 Apr, 2006.
