Sir Iain Primrose Liston Foulis, 13th Baronet

Sir Iain Foulis, 13th Baronet (created 1634), of Colinton; Baronet (created 1661) of Ravelston, but for the attainder; language tutor in Madrid, 1966-83, died as the result of a motor accident at Madrid, 5 February, 2006, aged 68.
Iain Primrose Liston Foulis (he discontinued the surname of Liston in 1988) was born 9 Aug, 1937, the son of Lieutenant-Colonel James Alistair Liston-Foulis, Royal Artillery (killed on active service in 1942), and Mrs Kathleen de la Hogue Moran (d. 1991), daughter of Lt-Col. John Moran, Indian Army, by his wife Countess Olga de la Hogue, daughter of the Marquis de la Hogue, of Mauritius.
He was educated at Hodder, and St Mary's Hall; Stonyhurst, &c.
Career:-->>National Service, 1957-59; with the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in Cyprus, 1958 (received the General Service Medal); landowner from 1961; language teacher, Estremadura and Madrid, 1959-61; Trainee, Bank of London & South America, 1962; Trainee, Bank of London and Montreal (in Nassau 1963; in Guatemala City 1963-64; Mangua, Nicaragua, 1964-65); Toronto (Sales) 1965-66; Member of the Standing Council of Baronets, from 1988; Life Member, National Trust for Scotland; Member of the Spanish Society of the Friends of Castles; Member of Friends of the St James Way; Certificate from the Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela for pilgrimage on foot, Somport to Santiago, Jubilee Year, 1971; &c.
He succeeded to the baronetcies on the demise of his cousin, the 12th Baronet, in 1961. He never married.
