The engagement was announced 22 February, 2006, between Alexander B.A. Mayer, youngest son of the late Alan Mayer and Mrs Alan Mayer, of Pontypridd, Mid Glamorgan, & Kate A. Chisenhale-Marsh, scion of the Burke's Landed Gentry Family of Chisenhale-Marsh of Gaynes Park, youngest daughter of Anthony Guy Swaine Chisenhale-Marsh (b. 9 May 1940), of Mickley, North Yorkshire, by his wife the former Miranda Jane Woodroffe, only daughter of John William Richard Woodroffe by his 1st wife the former Patricia Hambro, 2nd daughter of Angus Valdemar Hambro, DL, JP, of Hill House, Milton Abbas, Dorset, scion of the BLG family of Hambro of The Hyde.
