The engagement was announced in December, 2005, between Charles D.G. Leigh, eldest son of Mr Robert Leigh, of London, and Mrs Dermot Blundell, of Wichenford, Worcestershire, & Alice Rose Lowther (b. 1979), daughter of Colonel Sir Charles Douglas Lowther, 6th Baronet (b. 1946), of Erbistock Hall, Wrexham, by his 2nd wife, the former Florence Rose Cramsie.
The 1st Baronet was a brother of the 1st Earl of Lonsdale.
