The engagement was announced 12 December, 2005, between David Crackanthorpe, & the Hon. Laura Mary Clare Chanter (b. 1953, nee Buchan), former wife of Robin Chanter, and daughter of the 3rd Baron Tweedsmuir (b. 1916), by his 2nd wife, the former Barbara Howard Ensor.
