Lady Lindsay, 94, widow of Sir William Lindsay, CBE, DL

Lady Lindsay who died 15 August, 2005, at the age of 94, was the widow of Sir William Lindsay, Kt, CBE, DL.
She was the former Anne Diana Morley, only daughter of Arthur Morley, OBE, KC (1881-1946), of Wickham Farm, Haywards Heath, Sussex, Chairman of Middlesex Quarter Sessions, by his wife Dorothy Innes Murray Forrest, and married Sir William in 1936.
Her husband was an admin officer, HM Treasury, 1940-45; Chairman of Cuckfield Urban District Council; member of the Countryside Commission, 1962-71, and was knighted in 1963.
Lady Lindsay is survived by 2 daughters, Jennifer and Ferlina. She was predeceased by a son, James.
A Service of Thaksgiving takes place at Holy Trinity Church, Cuckfield, Sussex, 24 August, 2005.
