A lovely Lady, we are very sad to see the passing of our Gosport Sea Cadet Unit Patron. Midge took over from John when he sadly passed away. She has since been very active in all her dealings with our Unit. We will all miss her very much. Our sincere condolences to Mark, Sarah and Amanda. Mike & Margaret Draper. Ex Chairman.

I had the honor of receiving the Commander in Chiefs commendation from Sir John and really enjoyed meeting Lady Fieldhouse in Diego Garcia in 1986/7 My wife was her driver for the day. God bless her.

I too had the honour of meeting Lord and Lady Fieldhouse when he was Admiral of the fleet. They came to stay with AVM and Mrs. Ron Dick who was the Head of British Defence Staff at the British Embassy in Washington D.C. 1984-1988. I was the house manager at the official residence of AVM and Mrs. Dick for whom I had the greatest respect and admiration. Sadly, AVM Dick passed away a few years ago. Both Lord and Lady Fieldhouse where absolutely charming and will always be remembered by me.
